How Walkability works
You flag a stretch in 10 seconds. Pin the spot and tap what's wrong — vehicles, broken slabs, or encroachment. Anonymous, no details needed.
Flags combine into a walkability map. Parents with prams, senior citizens, school children — everyone sees which stretches force people onto the road.
GCC is alerted automatically. When a stretch crosses the report threshold, the roads & encroachment team gets one automatic email with the streets and a live map link — once per episode, no spam.
Fixed stretches turn green. Tap "Fixed" when a footpath is cleared or repaired — when enough walkers confirm, the zone clears and the office logs the win.
Reports stay for 60 days. Encroachments creep back — the map remembers, so repeat offenders show up as repeat flags and the office can push for permanent action.
